A History of the Car
The car stands out as one of
man's greatest inventions. You
may not realize that cars are not merely a twentieth
century invention, but actually date back to the sixteenth
century. The oldest cars were run by steam. Nicholas-
Joseph Cugnot, a Frenchman, invented a steam engine powered
vehicle, similar to a tricycle, that weighed a 9000 pounds!
The wheels of this vehicle were
Auto Safety On A Family Road

How to Buy a Used Car Without
Losing Your Shirt
In 1975, the federal government enacted the Magnuson-Moss
Warranty Act. Widely known as the 'Lemon Law', it provided
protections and assurances to consumers for purchases that
cost over $25, and came with express or implied warranties.
In the time since, every one of the fifty states has added
its own set of lemon laws to their state books. In many
cases, the sale of used cars is specifically regulated.
Cars, Cars and More CArs
Owning a car is no longer a luxury, but has become more of
a necessity. What with the long distances that one needs to
travel each day, to reach his/her workplace, school, or any
other place. Consequently, a majority of Americans have
more than one car. Now, if you do own an automobile, then
it won't be out of place to learn a bit about its history.
The intent here is just the same.
Choose the used car that
is right for you.
After purchasing a house, the second most expensive item you
are likely to buy is a car, even if used. Therefore, you
should make your choice wisely. Family needs, budget and a
car that is reliable and easy to maintain, are all important
considerations when purchasing your car. Of these, the most
important consideration is budget, since it will dictate the
make, model, age, and mileage of the car you buy. Also, if
you spend a lot of time out on the road, it is worth
considering a diesel engine car over gas. If however, you
only use your car for trips to the mall or cover only light
mileage every year, the premium price for a diesel engine
car may not be justified.
Should You Lease or Purchase
a Car?
Millions of people lease or buy their cars
every year and
go through the decision process of whether they should
lease or purchase their new cars or even whether they
should lease used cars in some cases if they are not older
than one or two years. Many buyers have firm ideas about
whether to lease or purchase a new vehicle and there is no
new information that will push them into one camp or
another. They either only lease or they only buy a car and
that is just the way it is.
Car Insurance for High-Risk
Drivers
If you are classified as a high-risk driver, finding car
insurance can be quite a hassle. Some insurance
companies will deny insurance to high-risk drivers,
while others just choose to charge extremely high
premiums. No matter which insurance company you choose,
you will most likely end up with a high rate. However,
every insurance company is different, so it is important
to shop around for the best rates available.
